My name is Jake Stemo. I am the founder of Presence Worship and a worship pastor from Wichita, KS. Presence Worship vision is to equip worship leaders to encounter the presence of the one true living God and learn how to be shepherds, stewards and servants within his presence. We desire to see leaders renewed, inspired and awakened to the future God has for them. Our heart is to see all people, from all backgrounds, connect with the Word of God through song. We believe the presence of God changes everything. Over the years of serving the local church as a worship pastor, my family and I have seen the worship culture in the evangelical church lacking power, presence, depth and discipleship. J.I. Packer states it best this way, "The church is a thousand miles wide and half an inch deep." Worship leaders/pastors are abandoning the call to personally encounter the presence of God and be shepherds in the presence of God. Today we see more of a focus on the program, musicality and environment than we do on developing leaders to be humble servants. The culture of the evangelical church is shifting dramatically and we desire to disciple a diverse group of leaders through the Presence Worship.
